Volunteer Opportunities at SJCCC<\/strong><\/p>\n We make volunteering easy and flexible, fitting around your w ork and family life. There are many ways to make a difference:<\/p>\n Youth Volunteers \u2013 Make a Difference, Earn Hours, Have Fun!<\/strong> High School Co-op Education Program<\/strong> No matter how you choose to volunteer, you\u2019ll be making a real impact and connecting with a caring community.<\/p>\n How to Become a Volunteer<\/b><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/i>It\u2019s easy!\u00a0<\/span>Email our Volunteer Coordinator at <\/span>volunteer@sjccc.ca<\/span><\/a> to let them know you are interested, or click HERE<\/a> to apply online.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n *After your application is reviewed, you will be contacted for an interview; this process allows both parties to discuss the expectations of volunteering.<\/span> *<\/b>Before you begin volunteering, we require a current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and an in-person screening for Tuberculosis. You must also attend a volunteer orientation session before your first day of volunteering. These requirements will be discussed in more detail during the initial interview, and St. Joseph\u2019s Continuing Care Centre will reimburse you for the cost of your police check. SJCCC also welcomes students for co-op placements at both secondary and post-secondary levels. Work alongside professionals in a real-world setting and explore your interests.
