Your core duties will include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Mission-Driven Governance:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Lead with purpose, ensuring every decision aligns with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Centre.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Active Stewardship:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Act as a faithful steward of our resources, ensuring the long-term sustainability and health of the organization.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Committee Leadership:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Bring your real-world expertise by actively participating on various committees (e.g., Finance, Quality, Governance).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Policy Expertise:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Develop a deep understanding of our Bylaws and Policies to ensure the Centre operates at the highest legal and ethical standards.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Accountability:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Ensure the Centre remains accountable to our residents and patients, their families, our staff, and the broader community.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>What You Bring<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While we value diverse professional backgrounds, the most important qualifications are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Compassion:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A genuine commitment to the well-being of those in continuing care.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Strategic Mindset:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The ability to see the &#8220;big picture&#8221; while navigating complex regulatory landscapes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Collaborative Spirit:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A desire to work alongside a dedicated team of fellow directors and executive leadership.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4><b>Why Serve with SJCCC?<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Serving on this Board is an opportunity to give back to a pillar of our community.
