REPORT FROM THE BOARD<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors was held on 03 April 2018.<\/p>\n

CORPORATE LIAISON\u2019S REPORT<\/u><\/p>\n

Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph (RHSJs)<\/u> \u2013 Ms. MacLennan noted that Mrs.\u00a0Anne\u00a0Vincelli, former Public Relations Officer for the Centre, will speak on April 7th<\/sup> about the RHSJs and their history.\u00a0 Mrs.\u00a0Vincelli is currently a member of the RHSJ Associates, a group of lay people who attend celebrations, volunteer, help out, and enhance the role of the RHSJs.<\/p>\n

ADMINISTRATION REPORT<\/u><\/p>\n

Mrs. Lafrance-Allaire\u2019s report included Sub-acute Capacity Planning (year-end data), Critical Incident Inspection (no findings), Good News Items (1-Provincial Budget Announcements re increases to Long-Term Care Funding Envelopes; 2-Mr.\u00a0Jim\u00a0McDonell, MPP to Visit on April 5th<\/sup>), Values Integration Appraisal (on 10-11\u00a0April 2018), Accreditation (on 17-18 April 2018); and Census Data.\u00a0 Also discussed:<\/p>\n

Management Goals and Objectives<\/u><\/em> \u2013 Mrs. Lafrance-Allaire reviewed the progress on the 2017-18 Goals<\/em>.<\/p>\n

COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING, FINANCE AND PERSONNEL RELATIONS COMMITTEE (CPFPRC<\/u>)<\/p>\n

Financial Statements<\/u><\/em> \u2013 A surplus in each operation is forecast for year end.\u00a0 The Board of Directors approved the Financial Statements for the Period Ending 28 February 2018<\/em> as presented.<\/p>\n

Management Fiduciary Statement<\/u><\/em> – The Board of Directors approved the Management Fiduciary Statement for February 2018.<\/em><\/p>\n

AUXILIARY REPORT<\/u><\/p>\n

Ms. Payette highlighted her report.\u00a0 The Auxiliary\u2019s Annual Meeting was held 15 March 2018 at which time a donation of $25,000 was made to the Centre to purchase equipment needed to enhance the life of the residents.\u00a0 The new Executive elected is:<\/p>\n

President\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Juliette Payette;<\/p>\n

Past President\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Rachelle Lamond;<\/p>\n

The Spring Conference will be on April 25th<\/sup> in Winchester.\u00a0 The Auxiliary\u2019s next fundraiser will be their Garage Sale on May 5th<\/sup> at Ste-Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Parish Hall.<\/p>\n

PROFESSIONAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE (PAC) REPORT<\/u><\/p>\n

Antipsychotic Medications without Diagnosis of Psychosis<\/u> \u2013 Dr. Foley explained the past results for the use of antipsychotic medication.\u00a0 Moving forward, reporting will be changed to better reflect the correct usage (which is the current practice) for the use of these medications.<\/p>\n

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES<\/u> \u2013 The Centre\u2019s Education Calendar<\/em> for April 2018 and Governance Educational Opportunities were circulated to the Board of Directors for information.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The next regular Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Wednesday, 16 May 2018 at noon in the Boardroom.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
