REPORT FROM THE BOARD<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors was held on 25 June 2019.<\/p>\n

CORRESPONDENCE<\/u><\/strong> <\/span>\u2013 The Board of Directors<\/span> noted the following cards of appreciation:<\/p>\n

-Thank You Card from Sister Annette Valade re Bouquet (retiring from the Board of Directors);<\/p>\n

-Thank you Card from Ms. Ann Surch for retirement flowers.<\/p>\n

ADMINISTRATION REPORT<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Attestation<\/u> \u2013 In accordance with the Broader Public Sector Accountability Act<\/em>, an Attestation Form<\/em> and supporting schedules must be filed with the Champlain LHIN.\u00a0 The Board of Directors approved \u201cAppendix C \u2013 Attestation (re Consultants) for 01 April 2018 to 31 March 2019\u201d and \u201cSchedule A to Attestation\u201d as presented.<\/p>\n

Point Click Care (PCC) \u2013 Medication Reconciliation \/ Admission Orders<\/u> \u2013 All the charts are now paperless.\u00a0 Everyone is very proud and excited for the future.<\/p>\n

Good News Items<\/u> \u2013 Cobey House has successfully transitioned to room tray service for all meal delivery.<\/p>\n

QUALITY IMPROVEMENT (QI) \/ SAFETY COMMITTEE<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Quality Assurance Scorecards 2018-19 (Q4)<\/u><\/em> and 2019-20 (Q1)<\/em><\/u> \u2013 There are two new metrics on the hospital section of the scorecard: Expected Date of Discharge (EDD) and Barthel Index. \u00a0The two new indicators on the scorecard will help measure successful patient transitions.<\/p>\n

COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING, FINANCE AND PERSONNEL RELATIONS COMMITTEE (CPFPRC<\/u>)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Financial Statements<\/u><\/em> \u2013 The Board of Directors approved the Financial Statements for the Periods Ending 30 April <\/em>& 31 May 2019 <\/em>as presented.<\/p>\n

Management Fiduciary Statement<\/u><\/em> \u2013 The Board of Directors approved the Management Fiduciary Statement for April and May 2019.<\/em><\/p>\n

PROFESSIONAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE (PAC) REPORT<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Medication Reconciliation Process<\/u> \u2013 It was noted by the Medical staff that the Electronic Medication Reconciliation process in Point Click Care is very successful.\u00a0 It is now fully automated.\u00a0 It is also a great recruitment tool.<\/p>\n

EDUCATIONAL\u00a0<\/u><\/strong>OPPORTUNITIES<\/u><\/b><\/span>\u00a0\u2013 The Centre\u2019s Education Calendar <\/em>for June 2019 and the Governance Educational Opportunities were circulated to the Board of Directors for information.<\/p>\n
