{"id":1683,"date":"2019-11-22T11:26:42","date_gmt":"2019-11-22T16:26:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sjccc.ca\/sjeng\/?p=1683"},"modified":"2019-11-22T11:26:42","modified_gmt":"2019-11-22T16:26:42","slug":"summary-of-the-november-2019-board-of-directors-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sjccc.ca\/sjeng\/?p=1683","title":{"rendered":"Summary of the November 2019 Board of Directors Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #1e5d9c;\"><strong><u>REPORT FROM THE BOARD<\/u><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nThe regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors was held on 12 November 2019.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #1e5d9c;\"><strong><u>MOTIONS OF PREVIOUS MEETING HELD 01 OCTOBER 2019 TO BE RATIFIED<\/u><\/strong><\/span> \u2013 All motions of the regular Board of Directors meeting held 01 October 2019 were ratified.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #1e5d9c;\"><strong><u>ADMINISTRATION REPORT<\/u><\/strong><\/span> \u2013 Mrs. Lafrance-Allaire&#8217;s report included: \u00a0Complex Medical Management (CMM) Advisory Committee Update, <em>Hospital Services Accountability Agreement (HSAA) Attestation <\/em>re Parking, Critical Incident Inspection (bed rails), Flu Vaccination and Census data.\u00a0 Also discussed:<\/p>\n<p><u>Good News<\/u> \u2013 The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame announced that Venerable Jeanne Mance was named as one of the 2020 inductees.\u00a0 St. Joseph\u2019s Villa celebrated its 50<sup>th<\/sup> and the Centre welcomed the Minister of Long-Term Care Dr. Merrilee Fullerton, on 25 October 2019.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #1e5d9c;\"><strong><u>QUALITY IMPROVEMENT (QI) \/ SAFETY COMMITTEE<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><u>Bed rail\u00a0Compliance Order<\/u> \u2013 The bed rail Reduction Programme has been implemented.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #1e5d9c;\"><strong><u>COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING, FINANCE AND PERSONNEL RELATIONS COMMITTEE (CPFPRC)<\/u><\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><u>Financial Statements<\/u><\/em> \u2013 The statements were reviewed.\u00a0 The Board of Directors\u00a0approved the\u00a0<em>Financial\u00a0Statements for the period ended 30 September <\/em>as presented.<\/p>\n<p><em><u>Management Fiduciary Statement<\/u><\/em> <em>\u2013<\/em> The Board of Directors approved the\u00a0<em>Management Fiduciary Statement for September 2019.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #1e5d9c;\"><strong><u>AUXILIARY REPORT<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>There will be a used Book Sale on 14, 15 and 16 November 2019 as well as the Snowflake Bazaar 5 December 2019.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #1e5d9c;\"><strong><u>NEW BUSINESS<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><u>Policies to review\/revise<\/u> \u2013 The Board of Directors policy #2-a-30 re <em>Policy on Open Board Meetings <\/em>and the Board of Directors policy #2-a-6 re <em>Orientation Programme for Board Members and Members of Board Committees <\/em>were approved by the Board of Directors as revised\/reviewed.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #1e5d9c;\"><strong><u>EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES<\/u><\/strong><\/span> \u2013 The Governance Educational Opportunities were circulated to the Board of Directors for information.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #1e5d9c;\"><strong><em>The next regular Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, 03 December 2019 at noon in the Boardroom.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>REPORT FROM THE BOARD The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors was held on 12 November 2019.
