{"id":1942,"date":"2020-06-08T13:18:06","date_gmt":"2020-06-08T17:18:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sjccc.ca\/sjeng\/?p=1942"},"modified":"2020-06-08T13:18:06","modified_gmt":"2020-06-08T17:18:06","slug":"summary-of-the-june-2020-board-of-directors-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sjccc.ca\/sjeng\/?p=1942","title":{"rendered":"Summary of the June 2020 Board of Directors Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #2549b8;\">REPORT FROM THE BOARD<\/span><br \/>\nThe regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors was held on 02 June 2020 via video conference due to the Novel Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2549b8;\">CORRESPONDENCE <\/span><br \/>\nThank you Letter from Mrs. Yollande Laperle, former Board of Directors Member \u2013 The Board of Directors noted the card of appreciation for Mrs. Laperle\u2019s flowers.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2549b8;\">ADMINISTRATION REPORT<\/span><br \/>\nMrs. Lafrance-Allaire\u2019s report included Service Accountability Agreements (SAAs) (HSAA and LSAA due date was extended to 31 March 2021), Broader Public Sector (BPS) Consolidation Reporting (the 2019-2020 BPS Consolidation Report deadline was extended to 30 June 2020), Good News (outdoor cross) and Census Data. Also discussed:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">COVID-19<\/span><\/span>\u2013 The option for family visits is being explored. Admissions to Long-Term Care (LTC) from hospital remain on hold. Admissions from the hospital to the Complex Continuing Care (CCC) have resumed. Employees in LTC now have to be swabbed twice in the month of June. Complex Continuing Care employees will be tested as well.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Policy to Revise<\/span> \u2013 Introduction and Organization policy #1-a-10 re Mission and Vision Statements was approved as presented.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2549b8;\">QUALITY IMPROVEMENT \/ SAFETY COMMITTEE<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Annual Workplan<\/span> \u2013 The revised Quality Improvement \/ Safety Committee Annual Workplan was approved.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2549b8;\">EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES<\/span><br \/>\nThe Governance Educational Opportunities were circulated to the Board of Directors for information.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2549b8;\">ANNUAL WORKPLAN<\/span><br \/>\nThe June workplan schedule was reviewed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<em><span style=\"color: #2549b8;\">The next regular Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, 07 July 2020 at noon via video conference due to COVID-19. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>REPORT FROM THE BOARD The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors was held on 02 June 2020 via video conference due to the Novel Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19).
