CORRESPONDENCE<\/u><\/strong><\/span>
\nMembership Response re Change of Bylaws (Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall)<\/u>\u00a0APPROVED.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Membership Response re Change of Bylaws (Remove Coordinator of Administration Services from Branding Committee)<\/u> APPROVED.<\/strong><\/p>\n

ADMINISTRATION REPORT<\/u><\/strong> <\/span>\u2013 Mrs. Lafrance-Allaire\u2019s report included: Risk Management Review 2020-2021<\/em>, Management Goals and Objectives 2021-22<\/em> (approved), Good News Item (thank you card from employee\/family member) and census. Also discussed:<\/p>\n

Corporate Policy Review<\/u> \u2013 The Board of Directors approved the following policy as reviewed:<\/p>\n

ETHICS AND MISSION COMMITTEE<\/u><\/strong><\/span>
\nStanding Item: Annual Workplan<\/u> \u2013 As per the Board\u2019s approval, \u201cAwareness of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)\u201d will be added to the Ethics and Mission Committee Annual Workplan<\/em>.<\/p>\n

PUBLIC RELATIONS AND BRANDING COMMITTEE<\/u><\/strong><\/span>
\nPresentation \u2013 Audiences<\/u> \u2013 The meeting mostly focused on identifying SJCCC\u2019s audiences and how to reach them.<\/p>\n

COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING, FINANCE AND PERSONNEL RELATIONS COMMITTEE<\/u><\/strong><\/span>
\nManagement Fiduciary Statement<\/u><\/em> \u2013 The Board of Directors approved the Management Fiduciary Statement for March 2021.<\/em><\/p>\n

Statement of Administrative Responsibility<\/u><\/em> \u2013 Noted. This document will be sent to the Members
\nof the Corporation for information.<\/p>\n

Audited Financial Statements<\/u><\/em> \u2013 The Audited Financial Statements <\/em>for the Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph of Cornwall, Ontario: St. Joseph\u2019s Villa; Hotel Dieu Hospital;<\/em> and the Consolidated Statements for the Year Ended 31 March 2021 <\/em>were presented and will be recommended to the Members of the Corporation for approval.<\/p>\n

Audit Findings Report<\/u> \u2013 This document was approved by the Board of Directors and referred to the Members of the Corporation for information.<\/p>\n

PROFESSIONAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE<\/u><\/strong><\/span>
\nRecruitment<\/u> \u2013 A physician may be interested in joining our Medical Staff.<\/p>\n

GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE<\/u><\/strong><\/span>
\nBoard of Directors Skills Matrix<\/u> \u2013 It was approved by the Board of Directors that \u201cAwareness of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion\u201d be added as a category under skills and experience to the Board of Directors Skills Matrix<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Board Member \/ Committee Member \/ Officers Appointment<\/u> \u2013 In preparation for the Annual Meeting, the Committee made recommendations regarding reappointments of Directors including Officers (Mr.\u00a0Paul\u00a0Desnoyers, Chairperson and Mr.\u00a0Mathieu Despatie, Vice-chairperson), and Ex-officio Members, as well as changes to some Board Committees. These recommendations were subsequently recommended at the Annual Meeting to the Members of the Corporation for approval. Annual reports from the Chairperson, Executive Director, Medical Directors Dr.\u00a0Patel and Dr.\u00a0Foley, Comprehensive Planning, Finance and Personnel Relations Committee, Ethics and Mission Committee, Quality Improvement\/Safety Committee and Public Relations and Branding Committee were also presented, approved and forwarded to the Members of the Corporation.<\/p>\n

Vacancy<\/u>
\nNote: Dr. Mary Jane Randlett has chosen to not let her name stand for another term is leaving the Board this year, resulting in a vacancy.<\/p>\n

Standing Item: Annual Workplan<\/u> \u2013 As per the Board\u2019s approval, \u201cAwareness of DEI\u201d will be added to the Governance Committee Annual Workplan<\/em>.<\/p>\n

OTHER BUSINESS<\/u><\/strong><\/span>
\nStanding Item: Annual Workplan<\/u> \u2013 The Board of Directors approved that \u201cAwareness of DEI\u201d be added to the Board of Directors Annual Workplan<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Standing Item: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)<\/u> \u2013 All Board Members were invited to a four-conversation series to raise awareness and understanding of systemic racism and how to address its devastating health impacts. A few Board Members attended the first conversation of the series, \u201cWe Are Called \u2013 Confronting Racism to Achieve Health Equity\u00a0Conversation Series\u201d.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe next regular Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for<\/em><\/strong><\/span>
