REPORT FROM THE BOARD<\/b><\/span>
\nThe regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors was held on 06 December 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n

ADMINISTRATION REPORT<\/b><\/span>
\nMrs. Lafrance-Allaire\u2019s report included: Vaccination, Bill 124 Protecting a Sustainable Public<\/span>
\nSector for Future Generations Act, 2019 (for information purposes), SJCCC Evacuation <\/span>
\nExercise (It was a resounding success once again), Good News Item (WorkLife Pulse <\/span>
\nCommittee is revived) and Census Data. Also discussed:<\/span><\/p>\n

Strategic Plan 2022-2025<\/span><\/span> – Mrs. Lafrance-Allaire shared the internal Strategic Plan 2022-2025. <\/span>
\nA suggestion was made to change the pink colour to a dark grey. The change will be made.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Discussion was had surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion and the holiday season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Policy Approval<\/span> <\/span>
\n3-a-20 Disagreement with a Physician\u2019s \/ Nurse Practitioner\u2019s Orders<\/span> -DEFERRED.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Board of Directors approved corporate policy #3-a-25 re <\/span>Resuscitative Intervention for Care at End of Life <\/span><\/i>as reviewed.<\/span> \u00a0 <\/span> \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

QUALITY IMPROVEMENT (QI) \/ SAFETY COMMITTEE<\/b><\/span>
\nQuality Assurance Scorecard 2022-23 (Q2)<\/span><\/span> \u2013 Human Resources statistics have been removed from the Quality Assurance Scorecard since it is now covered in the Comprehensive Planning, Finance and Personnel Relations Committee (CPFPRC). <\/span><\/p>\n

COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING, FINANCE AND PERSONNEL RELATIONS COMMITTEE (CPFPRC<\/b>)<\/b><\/span>
\nFinancial Statements<\/span><\/i><\/span> \u2013 The Board of Directors approved the <\/span>Financial Statements for the Periods Ended 30 September 2022 and 31 October 2022 <\/span><\/i>as presented.<\/span><\/p>\n

Budget Draft Presentation 2023-2024<\/span><\/span> – In the Five Year Capital Plan (2023-2028), for RHSJ Health Centre of Cornwall Fund, it was suggested to split the $500,000 under fiscal year 2023-2024 and show instead $250,000 under fiscal year 2023-2024 and $250,000 under fiscal year 2024-2025.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Board of Directors recommended to the Members of the Corporation approval of the 2023\/24 Operating Budget and the Capital Budget (2023-2028) as amended:<\/span><\/p>\n

Operating Budget \u2013 2023-24<\/span><\/span>
\n-St. Joseph\u2019s Villa (Long-Term Care): $17,192,137 with a projected surplus of $1,045<\/span>
\n-Hotel Dieu Hospital (Complex Continuing Care): $11,161,252 with a projected surplus of $706<\/span>
\nCapital Budget 2023-28<\/span><\/span>
\n-The Five-year (Combined) Capital Plan (2023-2028) in the amount of $1,805,000 of which $1,488,500 is for 2023-24.<\/span><\/p>\n

Management Fiduciary Statement<\/span><\/i><\/span> \u2013 The Board of Directors approved the <\/span>Management Fiduciary Statements for September and October 2022.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE<\/b><\/span>
\nQI Committee for LTC<\/span><\/span> – The Governance Committee came to a conclusion that the QI Committee for Long-Term Care does not need to be a committee of the Board of Directors but will report to the Quality Improvement \/ safety Committee of the Board.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

OTHER BUSINESS<\/b><\/span>
\nStanding Item: <\/span>Annual Workplan<\/span><\/i><\/span> – DEI will be changed to EDI. The workplan for the month of December will be revised.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Standing Item: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Standing Item: Policies to be Reviewed by the Board of Directors<\/span><\/span> – Reviewed.<\/span><\/p>\n
