The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors was held on 05 March 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

ADMINISTRATION REPORT<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Mrs. Lafrance-Allaire\u2019s report included: Innovative Care: Stronger Together Fundraising\u00a0<\/span>Campaign, Construction of New Therapeutic Space, Bill 124 – Court of Appeal of Ontario\u00a0<\/span>Ruling and Fixed Long-Term Care Act (FLTCA) updates, Good News Item (SJCCC celebrated\u00a0<\/span>Mission week from February 5th to 9th, 2024) and Census Data.<\/span><\/p>\n

COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING, FINANCE AND PERSONNEL RELATIONS COMMITTEE (CPFPRC)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Financial Statements<\/span><\/i><\/span> – The Board of Directors approved the <\/span>Financial Statement for the Period of January 2024\u00a0 <\/span><\/i>as presented.<\/span><\/p>\n

Management Fiduciary Statement<\/span><\/i><\/span> – The Board of Directors approved the <\/span>Management Fiduciary Statement for January 2024.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

PROFESSIONAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE (PAC) REPORT<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Physician Reapplications 2024<\/span><\/span> –\u00a0<\/span>Medical Staff reapplications have been reviewed by the PAC and were recommended for approval to the Board of Directors.<\/span><\/p>\n

The following physicians were reappointed by the Board to the Medical Staff for 2024 for the <\/span>privileges of Active Medical Staff, as recommended by the PAC: Dr. Panesar, Dr. Isaac and Dr. Read.<\/span><\/p>\n

GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE<\/b>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Policy to Review<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Board of Directors approved Board of Directors policy #2-a-25 re Governance Committee <\/span>as reviewed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Board Member Resignation<\/span><\/span> – The Board of Directors accepted the resignation of Ms. Lalonde. She has agreed to stay on until the Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NEW BUSINESS<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Recommendation for Representative of Senior Staff to the Comprehensive Planning, Finance and Personnel Relations Committee<\/span><\/span> – It has been approved by the Board of Directors that Derek Soares be appointed as Assistant Executive Director.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

OTHER BUSINESS<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Standing Item: <\/span>Annual Workplan<\/span><\/i><\/span> – The workplan for the month of March was reviewed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Standing Item: Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Update<\/span> – <\/span>Invitation was signed to join a Community Conversation Table surrounding Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Initiative. A number of different organizations are involved to show their passion, support and commitment towards EDI.<\/span><\/p>\n
