The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors was held on 05 November 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Memorandum Response re Appointment of New Board Member<\/span> (Steph Sanborn & Mrs. Chantal Tessier)<\/span> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0-APPROVED<\/b> (written)<\/span>.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Updated By-laws<\/span><\/span> – Discussions continue to be held and a couple more changes will be\u00a0<\/span>added before accepting the final version.<\/span><\/p>\n

ADMINISTRATION REPORT\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Ms. Lafrance\u2019s report included: Strategic Direction: Through the Lens of Equity Diversity and\u00a0<\/span>Inclusion (EDI), Management Goals Year 2024-25 (Q2) update and Good News Item (we\u00a0<\/span>celebrated Kelly Ratayczak, our hairdresser who dedicated her life to our residents with 40+\u00a0<\/span>years of service at SJCCC ) and Census Data. Also discussed:<\/span><\/p>\n

Hospital Parking Directive\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Board of Directors accepted the Hospital Attestation of <\/span>Compliance with Hospital Parking Directive re 01 September 2023 – 31 August 2024 as <\/span>presented.<\/span><\/p>\n

Land Development – Flourish Session<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ms. Lafrance shared the portfolio of our Land development session with Flourish that showcases their work through affordable housing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Policy Approval<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Board of Directors approved the following Policy #3-a-25 re. <\/span>Resuscitative\u00a0<\/span><\/i>Intervention for Care at End of Life<\/span><\/i> as revised. <\/span><\/p>\n

ETHICS AND MISSION COMMITTEE<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD)<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Grant discussed an article of MAiD and the difficulties it may have in a Catholic setting.<\/span><\/p>\n

COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING, FINANCE AND PERSONNEL RELATIONS COMMITTEE (CPFPRC)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Financial Statements<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The Board of Directors approved the <\/span>Financial Statement for the Period of September 2024 <\/span><\/i>as presented.<\/span><\/p>\n

Management Fiduciary Statements<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The Board of Directors approved the <\/span>Management Fiduciary Statement for September 2024.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

RFP for Audit services for year end March 31, 2026 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Board of Directors will explore various firms for Audit Services.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Board Self-Assessment Tool<\/span><\/p>\n

Three questions have been discussed to add to the <\/span>Annual Evaluation Form<\/span><\/i> in regards to the Chief of Staff. CHI is in the process of\u00a0 reviewing all assessments.<\/span><\/p>\n

PUBLIC RELATIONS AND BRANDING COMMITTEE<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Standing Annual Workplan<\/span><\/p>\n

A line will be added to the Public Relations and Branding Committee workplan to include \u201cOversight of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
