The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors was held on 03 December 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Updated By-laws<\/span><\/span> – This will be reviewed at the next Governance meeting on 17 January 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

ADMINISTRATION REPORT\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Ms. Lafrance\u2019s report included: <\/span>Strategic Direction: Expanding Senior Housing, Land\u00a0<\/span>Development – Flourish Engagement and CHAO Grant, SJCCC Evacuation Exercise, Ministry of\u00a0<\/span>LTC Report and Good News Item (a memorial service was held and honoured 102 former\u00a0<\/span>residents and patients who passed away in the previous year)\u00a0 and Census Data. Also\u00a0<\/span>discussed:<\/span><\/p>\n

Ministry of Long-Term Care Report\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Ministry of Long-Term Care (MOLTC) has increased\u00a0<\/span>the number of inspectors in the facilities across the province to ensure that incidents are\u00a0<\/span>reported on time (in less than 24 hours) and action is taken on time.<\/span><\/p>\n

QUALITY IMPROVEMENT AND SAFETY COMMITTEE<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Policy to Revise<\/span><\/p>\n

The Board of Directors approved the Board of Directors policy #2-a-20 re. <\/span>Quality Improvement \/ Safety Committee <\/span><\/i>as revised.<\/span><\/p>\n

COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING, FINANCE AND PERSONNEL RELATIONS COMMITTEE (CPFPRC)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Financial Statements<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The Board of Directors approved the <\/span>Financial Statement for the Period of October 2024 <\/span><\/i>as presented.<\/span><\/p>\n

Management Fiduciary Statements<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The Board of Directors approved the <\/span>Management Fiduciary Statement for October 2024.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Policies to Review<\/u><\/p>\n

The Board of Directors approved the following policies as reviewed: <\/span>Board of Directors policy #2-a-10 re.<\/span> Comprehensive Planning, Finance and Personnel <\/span><\/i>Relations Committee and <\/span><\/i>Board of Directors policy #2-a-28 re. Fiscal Advisory Committee.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n
