The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors was held on 04 February 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES<\/b><\/span> – Board of Directors Policy #2-a-4 re. <\/span>Board of Directors\u00a0<\/span><\/i>Conflict of Interest Disclosure<\/span><\/i> – DEFERRED.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

CORRESPONDENCE<\/b><\/span> \u00a0<\/span>Letter from family – Noted <\/span><\/p>\n

ADMINISTRATION REPORT<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Ms. Lafrance\u2019s report included: Strategic Direction: Ministry of Long-Term Care Inspection Report,\u00a0<\/span>Management Goals – Q3 Update, Provincial Pre-Budget Preparations and Good News Item (a\u00a0<\/span>breakfast & tour at Hotel Dieu Hospital is scheduled for February 7th, 2025 along with 7 plaques\u00a0<\/span>honouring our Sisters on each unit) and Census Data. Also discussed:<\/span><\/p>\n

Ministry of Long-Term Care Inspection Report<\/span><\/span>– An Order was issued regarding SJCCC\u2019s Infection,\u00a0<\/span>Prevention and Control program. The Public copy was received and shared. Actions that were taken in\u00a0<\/span>response to the order included internal audits, checklists and in the moment education.<\/span><\/p>\n

Policy Approval<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Board of Directors approved the following policies as reviewed\/revised:<\/span><\/p>\n

–<\/span> Board of Directors Policy #2-a-6 re <\/span>Orientation Programme for Board Members <\/span><\/i> and Members of Board Committees <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

– <\/span><\/i>Corporate Policy #3-a-20 re <\/span>Disagreement with a Physician\u2019s \/ Nurse Practitioner\u2019s Orders<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

– Corporate Policy #3-a-91 re <\/span>Corporate Procurement Policy<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

– Corporate Policy #3-a-92 re <\/span>Procurement Code of Ethics<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING, FINANCE AND PERSONNEL RELATIONS COMMITTEE <\/b>(CPFPRC)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Financial Statements<\/span><\/i><\/span> \u2013 The Board of Directors approved the Financial Statements for the Periods <\/span><\/i> Ending 30 November 2024 and 31 December 2024 as presented.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Mortgage Renewal <\/span><\/i><\/span>– <\/span><\/i>The Board approved to move forward with the mortgage renewal of a 3 year term <\/span> at 5.18%.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Management Fiduciary Statements<\/span><\/i><\/span> – The Board of Directors approved the Management Fiduciary <\/span> Statements for November and December 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

PROFESSIONAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE (PAC) REPORT<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Policy to Review<\/span><\/span>\u00a0 – <\/span>The Board of Directors approved Board of Directors policy #2-a-26 re Professional Advisory <\/em><\/span>Committee<\/em> as revised.<\/span><\/p>\n

GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE<\/b><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Appointment of Board Members to Committees<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Board of Directors have appointed<\/span> Steph Sanborn be appointed to the Quality Improvement and <\/span> Safety Committee and that Mrs. Chantal Tessier be appointed to the CPFPRC.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NEW BUSINESS<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Policy to Review<\/span> <\/span>– Board of Directors policy #2-a-30 re. <\/span>Directors\u2019\/Policy on Open Board Meetings<\/span><\/i> has <\/span> been approved as reviewed. <\/span><\/p>\n
