The <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">scheduled March meeting of the Board of Directors did not officially convene as a quorum was\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">not reached. To address immediate operational needs, all urgent and time-sensitive documents\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and resolutions were transitioned to the Executive Committee for review and approval.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><b>ADMINISTRATION REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH 2026<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mrs. Lafrance\u2019s report included: Progressive Senior Care &#8211; Next Generation of Care &#8211; The NP\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Model, Enhancement Within a Transformative Era &#8211; Welbi, Resident Engagement AI platform,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strategic Direction: Campus of Care Expansion: Strategic Partners Providing Community\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Housing, Ministry of LTC Inspection Report and Good News Item (<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lights of Hope fundraising\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">closed at $60,231<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) and Census Data.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><b>ADMINISTRATION REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL 2026<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Progressive Senior Care &#8211; AI- The Ontario Hospital Executive Program in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Strategic Direction: Campus of Care Expansion &#8211; Expanding RCM Horizons, Provincial Budget Highlights 2026, NP Placement Experience\u00a0 and Good News Item (Annual Service Awards Ceremony was held March 31, 2026 and honoured 46 staff members ) and Census Data. Also discussed:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Policies to Review<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Board of Directors approved the following policies as reviewed\/revised.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Corporate Policy #3-a-15 re <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contracts &#8211; Affiliation Agreements<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-Corporate Policy #3-a-18 re <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contracts &#8211; Services and Projects<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-Corporate policy 3-a-50 re. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">French Language Services<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><b>ETHICS AND MISSION COMMITTEE<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Policies to Review\/Revise<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Board of Directors approved the following policies as reviewed\/revised:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-Corporate Policy #3-a-21 re Research Proposals<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-Corporate Policy #3-a-22 re <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guidelines for Medical-Moral Consultations<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-Corporate Policy #3-a-24 re <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Death with Dignity<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><b>COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING, FINANCE AND PERSONNEL RELATIONS COMMITTEE (CPFPRC)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Financial Statements<\/span><\/i><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; The Board of Directors approved the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Financial Statement for the Periods of\u00a0 January 2026 and February 2026\u00a0 <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">as presented.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Management Fiduciary Statement<\/span><\/i><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; The Board of Directors approved the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Management Fiduciary Statements for January 2026 and February 2026.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Policy to revise<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Board of Directors approved the following policy as revised:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Corporate policy 3-a-91 re. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Corporate Procurement Policy<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><b>PROFESSIONAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE (PAC)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Physician reapplication 2026<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 &#8211; Dr. D. Read\u2019s and Dr. Patel\u2019s Medical Staff reapplication has been reviewed by the PAC and was recommended to the Board for approval.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Board of Directors approved the reappointment of Dr. Patel to the Medical Staff for 2026 with the privileges previously held of Active Medical Staff and that Dr. Read be appointed as Medical Courtesy Staff for 2026.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><b>PUBLIC RELATIONS AND BRANDING COMMITTEE<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">130 Year Wall update<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; A final quote was approved by the Board of Directors to move forward with the design for the 130 year history wall.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><b>NEW BUSINESS<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Policy to Review<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; The Board of Directors approved the following policy as reviewed:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-Board of Directors policy #2-a-35 re <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Board of Directors Annual Evaluation <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>OTHER BUSINESS<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Standing Item: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Annual Workplan<\/span><\/i><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; The workplan for the month of April was reviewed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Standing Item: Policies to be Reviewed by the Board of Directors<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; Reviewed<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><b><i>The next regular Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for Friday, 22 May 2026 at 1200 hours via hybrid. <\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>REPORT FROM THE BOARD The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors was held on 07 April 2026.
