The Annual Meeting of the Board was held immediately following the regular meeting (see Governance Committee section).  In addition, a Mission and Strategic Planning Day was held 29 May 2015 (see end).<\/p>\n<p>CORRESPONDENCE<br \/>\nThank You Card from Suzanne Duchesne re Death of her Mother, Beverly St. Jean \u2013 This appreciation card, for flowers sent, was noted by the Board of Directors.<\/p>\n<p>ADMINISTRATION REPORT<br \/>\nMrs. Ruest\u2019s report included Good News Items (Volunteer Appreciation Tea, Volunteer Service Awards, Brenda Petersen receives Catholic Health International Volunteer Excellence Award), and Census data.  Also discussed were:  <\/p>\n<p>French Language Services \u2013 Le R\u00e9seau des services de sant\u00e9 en fran\u00e7ais and the Champlain Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) have advised that our French Language Services Designation Plan was approved by the LHIN Board and recommended for approval to the Office of French Language Services of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.<\/p>\n<p>Attestation \u2013 In accordance with the Broader Public Sector Accountability Act, an Attestation Form and supporting schedule must be filed with the Champlain LHIN.  The Board approved a motion that \u201cAppendix C \u2013 Attestation\u201d for 01 April 2014 to 31 March 2015 be approved for signature.<\/p>\n<p>Nineties Club \u2013 The Nineties Club celebration was held last week.  Twenty new members were inducted into the Nineties Club.  A total of 267 have been inducted since the first celebration in 1999.<\/p>\n<p>COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING, FINANCE AND PERSONNEL RELATIONS COMMITTEE (CPFPRC)<br \/>\nManagement Fiduciary Statement \u2013 The Management Fiduciary Statement for the month of March 2015 was approved by the Board of Directors.<\/p>\n<p>Statement of Administrative Responsibility \u2013 This statement describes the roles of Administration and the Audit Committee with respect to year-end financial statements.  The statement was approved by the Board of Directors and referred to the Members of the Corporation for information.<\/p>\n<p>Draft Audited Financial Statements \u2013 These were recommended for approval at the Annual Meeting.<\/p>\n<p>GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE<br \/>\nIn preparation for the Annual Meeting, the Committee made recommendations regarding appointment and reappointment of Directors including Ex-officio Members, and changes to Board Committees.  An amendment to the Administrative Bylaw regarding an attendance requirement for Board Members was also proposed.  These recommendations were subsequently recommended at the Annual Meeting to the Members of the Corporation for approval.<\/p>\n<p>EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES \u2013 The Centre\u2019s Education Calendar for June 2015 and Governance educational opportunities were circulated to the Board of Directors for information. <\/p>\n<p>MISSION AND STRATEGIC PLANNING DAY<br \/>\nThis day was held 29 May 2015 at which time the Board of Directors and Leadership Team participated in a missioning ceremony.  Strategic planning was carried out during the afternoon at which time revised Mission, Vision and Values, and Strategic Directions were recommended to the Members of the Corporation for approval.<\/p>\n<p>The next regular Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for<br \/>\nTuesday, 23 June 2015 at noon in Jeanne Mance Hall.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors was held on 19 May 2015.
