\nThe regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors was held on 06 October 2015.<\/p>\n
BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES
\nEvaluation of Board and Board Chairperson \u2013 Further to discussion at the last meeting, it was confirmed that processes are in place for the annual evaluation of the Board, Board Chairperson and Executive Director.<\/p>\n
CHAIRPERSON\u2019S REPORT — Ms. MacLennan requested Board Member volunteers for the Ad Hoc Committee to recruit a new Executive Director. Interested Board Members may submit their name to either Ms. MacLennan or Ms. Surch. Two have already volunteered.<\/p>\n
REPORT FROM ADMINISTRATION — Mrs. Ruest\u2019s report included \u201cHealthy Foods in Champlain Hospitals\u201d (update), Good News Items (receipt of donation from Royal Canadian Legion) and Census data. Also discussed was: <\/p>\n
Management Goals 2015-2016 Update \u2013 Mrs. Ruest noted the achievements and progress for each goal.<\/p>\n
ETHICS AND MISSION COMMITTEE
\nPublic Relations \/ Branding \u2013 The Board of Directors noted the many upcoming activities, cultivating volunteers and also relations with our external partners. One example is the Lights of Hope Ceremony where Cogego and the Holy Trinity Choir will be present at the Lighting Ceremony celebrations in early December. Many residents and family members attend, and then the ceremony is broadcast on cable television into in the community during the Christmas season. The Nineties Club is another example.

\nCOMPREHENSIVE PLANNING, FINANCE AND PERSONNEL RELATIONS COMMITTEE (CPFPRC)
\nManagement Fiduciary Statement \u2013 The Management Fiduciary Statement for the month of August 2015 was approved by the Board of Directors.<\/p>\n
Financial Statements \u2013 Mrs. Ruest presented the Financial Statements. A significant change to the balance sheet was prepaid insurance. The Financial Statements for the period ended 31 August 2015 were approved as presented.<\/p>\n
AUXILIARY REPORT \u2013 The Hospital Auxiliaries of Ontario (HAAO) East Fall Conference will be held at the Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital. Eight delegates from our Auxiliary will attend. Speakers will be Kathie Donovan and Dr. Marty White. Preparations for the December 3rd Snowflake Bazaar continue.<\/p>\n
EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES \u2013 The Centre\u2019s Education Calendar for October 2015 and Governance Educational Opportunities were circulated to the Board of Directors for information.<\/p>\n
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT SURVEY \u2013 The Governance Centre of Excellence will launch a Community Engagement Survey on 26 October 2015 in which Board Members can participate anonymously. The survey link information will be e-mailed to Board Members as soon as it becomes available.<\/p>\n
