Advancing Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI)

St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre (SJCCC) launched its Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) journey in fall 2022. Our goal is simple: to create a space where every staff member, patient, resident, and family feels seen, respected, and safe. Building an inclusive culture strengthens innovation, improves outcomes, and drives positive change.

We’re doing the work—updating language, celebrating diverse voices, and embedding inclusion in everything we do.

Why EDI Matters in Healthcare

Equity, diversity, and inclusion lead to better care. When we understand and address the barriers our residents and patients face, we improve their experiences—and their health outcomes. SJCCC is committed to putting EDI into practice across all areas of care. Through ongoing policy review and data tracking, we hold ourselves accountable to the people we serve.
