The Grand Parade is more than just a walk. It’s a celebration of compassion, community, and the people we care for every day at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre (SJCCC).
This year, we invite families, friends, local businesses, community groups, volunteers, residents, patients, and staff to come together to walk in support of seniors and adults living with complex health needs. Every step taken and every dollar raised helps provide the equipment, programs, and enhancements that make life more comfortable, engaging, and meaningful for those in rehabilitation and those who call SJCCC home.
Whether you’re walking in honour of a loved one, celebrating someone who received exceptional care, or simply looking for a meaningful way to give back, we’d love to have you join us.
Why We Walk
At SJCCC and St. Joseph’s Care Foundation, we believe every resident and patient deserves exceptional care, comfort, and dignity.
Government funding covers many essential healthcare services but it doesn’t cover everything.
Funds raised through The Grand Parade help purchase specialized equipment and support care programs that improve quality of life every day. Your generosity helps provide items such as rehabilitation equipment, mobility aids, specialized nursing equipment, comfort items, therapeutic programs, recreation opportunities, and other urgent care needs that enhance the experience of residents and patients.
Every donation…large or small…helps us respond to our most pressing priorities and ensures our residents and patients continue to receive the compassionate, person-centred care they deserve.
How You Can Get Involved
There are many ways to make a difference!
👥 Start a Team
Create your own fundraising team and invite others to join you. Schools, service clubs, workplaces, community organizations, and families all make incredible teams.
💙 Support a Walker
Can’t make the event? You can still make a difference by sponsoring a participant or donating to support their fundraising efforts.
🚶 Register to Walk
Walk as an individual, with your family, friends, coworkers, or neighbours. Everyone is welcome, and every walker makes an impact.
🤝 Become a Sponsor
Local businesses play an important role in making The Grand Parade a success. Sponsorship opportunities provide valuable community recognition while directly supporting seniors and patients in our community.
